    “I have used two soaps (oatmeal and coffee) and I really like them both. I really enjoy the way they smell, the oatmeal is very fresh smelling and the coffee just smells wonderful. I noticed they don’t leave a film behind on my skin, which is really nice. I also used them with my loofa and they lather up really good. The coffee one is a little rougher, like an exfoliant. I have really enjoyed using the soap – I’m glad to have the chance to test them”

    “I have always been skeptical about goat milk soap, mostly because I didn’t know much about it. It just seemed really weird to me to bathe in milk. I never would have tried it if it weren’t for Crystal, who introduced me to the wonderful world of goat milk soap, and now I can’t live without it! I have never been able to find a good soap or shower wash that didn’t make my skin feel itchy or dry. The goat soap does just that. The only way I can describe it, without you actually trying it, is it feels like you are actually showering with moisturizer. The wonderful variety of scents of the soap is just an added bonus. I have extremely sensitive skin prone to breakouts and I have been using the soap on my face for a month and have noticeably seen a difference in the appearance of my skin and no breakouts! I use the soap for shaving as well and get no razor bumps, which I got every time I shaved whether it was with shaving cream or soap.   • Why You Should be Using Goat Milk Soap!

    If you haven’t used goat milk soap before then you might not be aware of it’s amazing benefits! Below I have put together a list of why you should be using goat milk soap… and more specifically why you should be using OUR goat milk soap.

    1. Soap made with goat milk is said to contain caprylic, capric and caproic acids. All of these work together to maintain the perfect pH (or acidity) for human skin and hair.
    2. Goat milk soap may help to reduce inflammation in skin.
    3. The cream in goat milk makes the soap highly moisturizing.
    4. It contains essential nutrients and vitamins like vitamin A, C, B1, B6, B12, and E. These nutrients and vitamins help repair damaged skin cells.

    We have had soap testers (friends, family, and acquaintances) testing our soap for months now. We want to make sure our recipes are perfect before we roll them out to the general public. So far the feedback has been extremely positive. They are all fighting to get their hands on more soap, and several have taken the time to write up testimonials! Over the next few weeks, as we put the final touches on our website, I will share these testimonials with you. This first one comes from Sandy H.

    “I have been using the Castile soap, and it is awesome. Before it was wet for the first time it had a slight scent to it, but in the shower there is absolutely no scent that I can make out. I went from using Dove body wash to this, and will NEVER go back to Dove again. My skin feels so much softer. Additionally, I have really sensitive arm pits – get red bumps/irriation all the time. Since using the soap for shaving – I have had ZERO red bumps or irritation. However, I was just on vacation for two weeks and forgot to pack the castile soap…and I got awful shaving irritation from using my mom’s body wash. I am back home and have been using the soap for 4 days now, and am feeling great. I thought I loved the soap, but didn’t realize how much I did until I had stopped using it! Such a great product!   • My First Experience with Goat Milk Soap

    A while before we started experimenting making our own soap I had the opportunity to try goat milk soap from a national brand.  I already knew the benefits of goat milk soap and already had high expectations, but I was completely blown away with my results.

    I wash my hands to an obsessive point… I live on a farm with two young children, and I have a mild case of OCD. My hands were always dry and cracked, and during the winter my hands would bleed… badly. I would go through a gross amount of lotion. I was miserable. It actually HURT to wash my hands and put lotion on. Washing my hands less was/is not an option… dealing with animals, diapers, cooking, etc… It is a necessary act many, many, many times a day. So I just dealt with the pain. Then I had the opportunity to use a bar of goat milk soap. Within a DAY my hands had healed. I’m not exaggerating… a DAY. No more cracks, no more dry skin, no more bleeding. I was completely hooked and knew I couldn’t go back to regular soap.

    Since we started making our own soap I have had no more issues with my skin, no matter how many times I wash my hands. Our soaps are all natural and our castile is sensitive enough to use on our toddler (who has very sensitive skin). It’s amazing having a safe, all natural product for our family to use. I am so proud of our soaps and I can’t wait for you all to try them.

  • Our Very First Order!

    Today we hit a huge milestone at The Freckled Farm Soap Company… We fulfilled our very first order!!

     1st Order! Goat Milk Soap. The Freckled Farm Soap Company

    The website has not even gone live yet, but friends and family, the people who have been testing the soap for us all along, have been going crazy trying to get more now that their sample sizes have run out. Dottie and Jim couldn’t wait any longer, so we went ahead and took an order from them so they didn’t have to live without our Sunrise Citrus.

    The site is still a ways from being ready. We will have it live sometime in September, but a hardline date has not been set. We don’t want to launch it until everything is perfect. The Etsy shop will be up very soon though and orders can be placed there. If you just can’t wait contact me (crystal@thefreckledfarmsoapcompany.com) and we can work something out.     Kevin is the soap maker extraordinaire. We brainstorm together, but he is the one who researches how to make it happen. He designs soap recipes with care, considering what each oil does to improve the quality of the soap and how it affects the user’s skin. He is always searching for a way to make the soap better and is a true perfectionist.

    Kevin and I met while attending VCU School of the Arts. Our relationship has truly been a journey. He is a loving, supportive husband and father. He is my best friend, my partner, and my love. We are a great team and I am so glad we are going through this journey together.
