    At The Freckled Farm Soap Company we are committed to making the most earth conscious decisions possible for our farm and business. Our oils are organic and from certified sustainable sources. The vast majority of the packaging for our products is made with recycled materials and/or is compostable. Our products are safer for the water system than their commercial counterparts. The grain for our goats is sourced from a local farm. The hay we feed them is also local and is spray free (this essentially means organic but lacks the certification). Our barn is solar powered and we hope to eventually move our entire operation to solar. These options are not the cheapest or the easiest, but taking care of the world around us and offering a product that gives our customers a more eco-friendly option is incredibly important to us.   • Priced for Everyday Use

    Our biggest goal when starting our soap company almost 5 years ago was to offer the highest quality soap possible while remaining affordably priced. We wanted our soaps to be considered everyday-use bars and not a splurge.

    There are all kinds of soap customers can choose from… Beautiful soaps that look amazing displayed next to your sink. Soaps that are big splurges you purchase when you really need a treat. Soaps that are works of art that make great gifts. While I hope our soaps fit into those categories listed above to some degree our hope was to be the soap you grab for everyday in the shower. Your “go to” soap for the kitchen or bathroom sink. The soap you use all the time. In order to become this soap for our customers we needed to be priced for everyday use.

    We have maintained our prices all these years. They remained the same even after we switched to organic oils from sustainable sources a few years back. We just made adjustments to our own habits (like buying the oils in very large qualities to lower our costs) so the costs associated with those upgrades were not passed on to our customers. We have done whatever we can to keep our prices steady and we will continue to do what we can to maintain prices for our customers! We hope you choose us as your “go to” soap!

    Our Virginia Cedar Goat Milk Soap features the fresh woody scent of Virginia Cedar essential oil.

    Our Virginia Cedar Goat Milk Soap is the same recipe as our Castile soap, so it’s has the same wonderful lotion like lather. We have always suggested using our Castile soap as a shave bar, because the lather gives you an outstanding shave surface. With that in mind we designed our Virginia Cedar to be a shave bar for men. This is obviously not the only use for this soap but it is certainly what we had in mind while making it.

    We love when we have the opportunity to pair up with other local businesses. It’s fun to created unique products that represents the place you love! Our Irish Goodbye Stout Goat Milk Soap comes from one of these partnerships.

    Virginia has really become a beer hub over the last decade. Virginians love their beer, so having a beer soap in our line just seemed fitting. We paired up with Final Gravity Brewery in Lakeside, VA and used their malted barley from Woods Mill Malt House in Nelson County, VA. We developed this wonderful, rich colored soap, that features a warm oat-like aroma. It’s the perfect soap for all the beer lovers out there!
