I have had many people ask me how I know when the goats are ready to be bred. When goats go into heat they are generally more vocal (I’m talking screaming in some cases), flag (wag their tail) often, hang out as close as they can to the buck pen (our girls lay along the fence line closest to the boy’s pasture), and they have noticeable discharge.
